TYLERTOWN — The Bogue Chitto Lady Bobcats knocked off thepreviously undefeated Salem Lady Wildcats 5-4 Thursday in girlsfastpitch divison softball action.

Meleah Brown was the winning pitcher with six strikeouts and onewalk. Alex Pigott absorbed the loss.

Candace Braxton scored the game-winning run for Bogue Chitto inthe eighth inning.

Powering Bogue Chitto (9-3, 9-2) with a home run was MarleyPorter. Devon Welch singled twice. Brown doubled. Hitting safelywere Brynna Wallace, Kayla Smith and Braxton.

Bogue Chitto hosts St. Aloysius Tuesday for a key division test.The junior varsity plays at 5 p.m. followed by the varsity at6.

The Lady Bobcats wrap up regular season play at home Wednesdaywith visiting Enterprise. The game was originally scheduled forMonday but was moved to Wednesday. Game time is 3 p.m.
