Graveside services for Mattie Jane Johnson of Bolton are 3 p.m.,Wednesday, April 28, in Union Baptist Church Cemetery in LincolnCounty.

Visitation is Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., atBrookhaven Funeral Home.

Mrs. Johnson, 76, died April 25, 2004, at Rankin Medical Centerin Brandon. She was born in Brookhaven on Oct. 8, 1927. She is thelast surviving child of Thomas Jefferson Gill and Dovie SykesGill.

She was a retired licensed practical nurse at VA Medical Centerin Jackson.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her sisters, MaryLouise “Lola” Bates and Ethel Pennington; her brother, T.J. Gill;and seven half-brothers and half-sisters.

Survivors are her husband, Howard R. Johnson of Bolton; herdaughters by her first husband, Darolyn Gibson of Balch Springs,Texas, Brenda Wilber of Mesquite, Texas, and Terri Holland ofPlano, Texas; and her grandchildren, Jeffrey Wilber and JaredBroussard.
