Services for Mildred M. Slade of Bogue Chitto are 2 p.m.,Friday, May 21, at Community Funeral Services Chapel with burial inGreenlawn Cemetery in Natchez.

Visitation is Thursday from 5-10 p.m., and Friday from 9 a.m.until 2 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mrs. Slade, 94, died May 18, 2004, at her residence. She wasborn in Copiah County on Jan. 18, 1910, to John Conn and ElizabethMullins.

She was a homemaker.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, JohnEmmitt Slade; a daughter, Dixie Starnes; and several siblings.

Survivors are her daughters, Gladys Burns of Bogue Chitto, andGertha Lea White of Natchez; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Wallace,Glenn Avants, David Avants, Margie Huff, Michael White and PatricaPowell, all of Natchez; and a host of great- andgreat-great-grandchildren.
