Services for John Wesley McDavid of New Orleans, La., formerlyof Lincoln County, are 10 a.m. Saturday, June 5, at The Church ofJesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Red Star Ward in Brookhaven. Withburial in the Red Star Ward Cemetery.
Visitation is Friday from 6:30-10 p.m. and Saturday from 8-9:30a.m. at Harrigill Funeral Home.
Mr. McDavid, 82, died Tuesday, June 1, 2004 in New Orleans.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and a retiredplumber.
Preceding him in death were his father and mother, John Whitneyand Bertha Ellendar Smith McDavid; a sister, Alice Horton; andthree brothers, Cloyce, Enois, and Lester McDavid.
Survivors are his wife, Lois Cronin McDavid; his daughters,Melody G. Stickling, Judith Kay Beaudette, Wanda L. Klein and TerryS. Ferdinand; his sons-in-law, Michael D. Stickling, Paul JosephBeaudette, Emile “E.J.” Klein and Darrel C. Ferdinand; his sisters,Martha Gill and Jorine Hutcherson; his brothers, Charles, Lafayetteand Phillip McDavid; and his grandchildren, Brent Michael, VeronicaMichael, Victoria Ann and Kyle Daniel Stickling, Amy JenellBeaudette-LaPorte, Lisa Nicole Beaudette, Michelle Marie Klein,Andrew Christopher, Brittany Christina and Christopher CharlesFerdinand.
