In Dixie Youth Major League City Tournament action, ZachHalliwell recorded 10 strikeouts and walked 5 batters on his way tothe win. Nick Peavy fanned 5 and walked 1 in the loss.

Union Planters and Baker-Patrick remain undefeated in the MajorLeague City Tournament. They meet Thursday at 8 p.m.

Directing Baker-Patrick at the plate with a double and 3 singleswas Cody Smith In Majors action. Smith was the winning hurler with3 strikeouts and 1 walk. Brent Henderson doubled twice. Doublingand singling was Dustin Treadway. Patrick Valentine singled twice.Hitting safely was Grant Burke.

Posting the win with 6 strikeouts and a walk was Anthony Durr inAAA Tournament play. Jeff Rushing absorbed the loss with 2strikeouts and a walk.

A pair of doubles Durr sparked Save-Rite. Zach Cannon singled 3times. Tripling were Taylor Jones and Genoa Sartin.

Bank of Brookhaven 5, Cracker Barrel BBQ 4

Drew Jones got the win with 2 strikeouts and 1 walk while ZackAshley took the loss with 6 strikeouts and 10 walks.

Brennan Miller singled twice for the bankers.

Cracker Barrel was led by Ashley’s triple. Hitting safely wereLogan Killingsworth, Leighton Jordan and Seth Porter.

McDonald’s 2, SFI 0

Directing McDonald’s to the win on the mound with 5 strikeoutsand 3 walks was Blake Fugler. Corry Funk was credited with theloss, fanning 11 batters and walking 3.

Fugler’s double directed McDonald’s.

Noah Allen singled twice for SFI. Jared Case doubled.

Helping Union Planter to the win was pitcher Gage Posey with 6strikeouts and 3 walks. Will Lucas absorbed the loss with 5strikeouts and 2 walks.
