Services for Mable L. Stancil of Brookhaven were 2 p.m.,Saturday, June 12, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial inRamah Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Stancil, 87, died June 10, 2004, at her residence. She wasborn in Lincoln County on July 9, 1916, to L.L. Lofton and BeulahLofton Lofton.

She was a retired school teacher from Lincoln County Schools.She was a member of Ramah Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, J.W.Stancil; and four brothers, Edward, Troy, Sherrill and ArthurLofton.

Survivors are her sisters, Joyce L. Smith of Brookhaven, Dot L.Smith of Bogue Chitto, and Reba Pevey of Crystal Springs; herbrother, Loyd Lofton of Smithdale; and a host of nieces, nephewsand other relatives.
