George Wayne Burns

Services for George Wayne Burns of Bogue Chitto are 2 p.m.,Tuesday, June 29, at the Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel with burialin Mt. Moriah Cemetery.

Visitation is Monday from 5-9 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mr. Burns, 60, died June 24, 2004, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter in Brookhaven. He was born in Brookhaven on Oct. 30, 1943,to Tom R. Burns and Daisy Summers Burns.

He was a high school graduate and he was also a graduate ofCopiah-Lincoln Community College. After attending Co-Lin, he servedfor approximately three and half years in the U.S. Air Force as ajet engine mechanic. He was a BellSouth technician for 30 years. Hewas a Mason and a Shriner. He was Baptist.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his sister, Joan B. Moak, and her husband, Bobby,of Bogue Chitto; and his brother, Tommy R. Burns of BogueChitto.

Charlsey Maureen Parson

Services for Charlsey Maureen Parson of Wesson are 2 p.m.,Monday, June 28, at the Community Funeral Service Chapel withburial in Macedonia Cemetery.

Visitation was Sunday from 5-9 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mrs. Parson, 49, died of cancer on June 25, 2004, at herresidence. She was born in Vicksburg on Feb. 24, 1955, to CharlesM. Page and Mary Catherine Tharp Page.

She attended E.E. Bass School. She was a homemaker. Her brotherand sister-in-law, Kenny and Mary Allen, were her caretakers duringher lengthy illness.

Preceding her in death were her her mother and one brother,Charles Marion “Bubba” Page Jr., both of Greenville.

Survivors are her father; her husband, Johnny Lee Parson Jr. ofWesson; her daughter, Cynthia J. Lyons of Leland; her sons, MichaelShane Page of Greenville, and Chuck Robertson and David W.Robertson, both of Jackson; her sister, Victoria Abraham of OliveBranch; one brother, Kenneth Lee Page; three grandchildren, ChanceAllen Lyons, John Anthony Lyons and Kellie Jean Lyons; and a hostof aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
