Services for Eugene Etheridge Jr. of McCall Creek are 2 p.m.,Wednesday, June 30, at Faith Church in McCall Creek with burial inthe church cemetery. Community Funeral Services is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5-9 p.m., at the church.

Bro. Etheridge, 77, died June 28, 2004, at his residence. He wasborn in Gilbert, La. on Oct. 31, 1926, to Eugene Etheridge Sr. andLessie Stevens.

He was a minister. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran.

Preceding him in death were his parents; one sister; and threebrothers.

Survivors are his wife, Barbara Freeman Etheridge of McCallCreek; his daughters, Thelma J. Delozier of Meadville, Judy L.Adair of McComb, and Robin Sterling of Bude; his sons, Ronald E.Etheridge and Kimble A. Etheridge, both of Meadville; one sister,Earline Ruff of Clinton; two brothers, James F. Patt of Baton Rougeand Donald R. Patt of Prospect, Conn.; eight grandchildren; andfour great-grandchildren.

Bobby Joe Furlow

Services for Bobby Joe Furlow of Brookhaven are 11 a.m.,Wednesday, June 30, at Brookhaven Funeral Home with burial in NewSalem Church of Christ Cemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m.until the service, at the funeral home.

Mr. Furlow, 47, died June 27, 2004, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter in Brookhaven. He was born in Brookhaven on July 25, 1956,to Robert Furlow and Nelda Lorene Smith Furlow.

He was a truck driver for Advance Auto Parts. He was of theBaptist faith.

Preceding him in death were his parents and two sisters, JudyDurham and Sally Furlow.

Survivors are his daughter, Jennifer Michelle Furlow ofBrookhaven; his son, Christopher Matthew Furlow of Brookhaven;three sisters, Nell Etheridge of Summit, Donna Chisholm of McCallCreek, and Tami Womack of Brookhaven; his special friend, JudyMcClain of Jonesville, La.; and close friends Jimmy and VickieNorton of Brookhaven.

Trixie Louise Anderson Parrett

Services for Trixie Louise Anderson Parrett of Hazlehurst are 11a.m., Wednesday, June 30, at Pinebluff Baptist Church with burialin the church cemetery. Community Funeral Services is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is Wednesday from 6-9 p.m., at the church.

Mrs. Parrett, 76, died June 28, 2004, at her residence. She wasborn in Copiah County on Jan. 19, 1928, to Edwin Anderson Sr. andVera Strong.

She was a seamstress for National Textile. She was a member ofDamascus Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, N.E.Parrett; and two sisters.

Survivors are her sons, Samuel Wayne Parrett of Hazlehurst andTimothy Dale Parrett of Atlanta, Ga.; her brothers, Edwin AndersonJr., Percy Anderson, Jimmy Anderson, Billy Joe Anderson, and FrankAnderson, all of Hazlehurst; and two grandchildren.

Charlie White

Services for Charlie White of Brookhaven are 11 a.m., Wednesday,June 30, at the Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel with burial inRiverwood Memorial Park.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5-8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mr. White, 87, died June 27, 2004, at Beverly Healthcare inBrookhaven. He was born in Lincoln County on Oct. 29, 1916, toArchie Fairly White Sr. and Palestine Lilly White.

He was a retired salesman with Maco Candy Company in McComb. Hewas employed with R.A. Doerr Furniture Company in Brookhaven. Hewas a member of Easthaven Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, NellieFreeman White; three sisters, Bertie Mae Clark, Glidia Johnson andClaudia Ruth Martin; and one brother, Shelby White.

Survivors are two daughters, Marjorie L. Lee of Brookhaven;Kathryn Jordan and her husband, Russell, of Gulfport; one brother,Archie White Jr.; one sister, Mizie Leggitt; six grandchildren; andsix great-grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers are the Easthaven Men’s Adult V SundaySchool Class.

Sharon Gail Rawls Wilkins

Services for Sharon Gail Rawls Wilkins of Milton, Fla. are 2p.m., Tuesday, June 29, at New Prospect Baptist Church with burialin the church cemetery.

Visitation was Monday from 6-9 p.m., at Brookhaven Funeral Home,and will be Tuesday from 1 p.m. until the service at the church. Aspecial memorial service will be held for Sharon at Hickory HammockBaptist Church in Milton, on Thursday, July 1, at 2 p.m.

Mrs. Wilkins, 38, died June 26, 2004, at her residence. She wasborn at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven on Aug. 28,1965, the third daughter of Charles Rawls and Helen SiscoRawls.

She was baptized at New Prospect Baptist Church in Brookhaven.Sharon was also an active member at Woodland Hills in Jackson andHickory Hammock in Milton. She enjoyed working with Sunday School,VBS, youth and Acteens. Sharon graduated from Brookhaven Academy in1983. She attended Copiah-Lincoln Community College and graduatedfrom Mississippi State University in 1988 with a B.B.A. in businessinformation systems and quantitative analysis. She worked atGeorgia Pacific in Monticello and at the University of MississippiSchool of Dentistry.

Sharon married Clay Wilkins on Dec. 1, 1990 at New ProspectBaptist Church. They were married nearly 14 years. Clay surprisedSharon by having a helicopter land at the church for the getawayafter their wedding. Clay continued these expressions of love as hetook care of her until her last day.

Sharon and Clay were blessed with a son on Nov. 15, 1995. Theynamed him Marshall Clayton Wilkins after three of his grandfathers.He was and is the light of their life.

In January of 1998, Sharon was diagnosed with the first ofseveral malignant brain tumors. She and Clay worked togetherthrough several surgeries and radiation and chemotherapy treatmentsdue to multiple recurrences.

Sharon loved working with both plants and people. She was anencourager and inspiration to all. Sharon will always be rememberedby her family and friends for the contagious smile that was alwayson her face. Despite her constant struggles, Sharon drew from herfaith and spiritual strength to be able to enjoy family and friendsthrough her final days.

Preceding her in death were her father; her sister, MelanieRawls Heard; and grandparents Elmer and Audrey Sisco, and JohnMarshall and Mattie Rawls.

Survivors are her mother, Helen Sisco Rawls; her husband, ClayWilkins; her son, Marshall Clayton Wilkins; her sister andbrother-in-law, Linda and Woodie Franklin; her brother, ScottRawls; her nieces, Lyndsay Franklin, Jessica Franklin, and MadisonFranklin; her in-laws, Mary Jo and Sandy Erskine, Fred and CherryWilkins, Lisha and Dan Adam, David and Nancy Wilkins, Jeff andAlisha Wilkins; her special friends for life, Jody Spence Sartin,Pat and Linda Fulgham, Brian and Faith Deily; a large and greatlyloved family; and a host of friends.
