The Summit All-Stars handed Natchez a 15-7 loss Thursday nightin the first round of the Dixie Boys 13s District Four Tournamentat Exchange Club Park.

In tonight’s game, Brookhaven meets Summit at 7 p.m. Anotherelimination game will be played Saturday.

Natchez led Summit 4-2 after two innings. Summit tied the gameat 4-all in the top of the third and went up 7-3 in the fourth and10-4 in the fifth. In the final two innings, Natchez was outscored5-3 by Summit.

Posting the win for Summit with 5 strikeouts and 3 walks wasEric Boyd. Jordan Dossett fanned 3 and walked 1 in the loss.

Boyd direct Summit at the plate with a double and a single.Blaine Roberts and Dontrell Sargent collected 2 single apiece.Doubling were Alex Price and Shawn Greene. Wes Gill and Nick Holmeshit safely.

Natchez got a single from Daniel Jenkins, Ryan Comer, PrestonEdwards and Dossett.
