Services for Rosscell Baylis of Monticello are 1 p.m., Saturday,July 24, at Friendship M.B. Church with burial in the churchcemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 7 p.m., with family hourfrom 6-7 p.m., at Williams Mortuary.

Mr. Baylis, 51, died July 19, 2004, at Lawrence County Hospital.He was born in Lawrence County on Aug. 4, 1952, to Frank Baylis andDoris Bridges Baylis.

He was a 1972 graduate of Monticello High School. He was amember of Friendship M.B. Church in Monticello.

Preceding him in death was his mother.

Survivors are his father; his wife, Evon Baylis of Monticello;his daughter, Kerri Baylis of Monticello; his son LaPatrick Baylisof Monticello; his sisters, Margaret Thompson of Brandon andLoretta Barnes, Cathy Baylis, Annette McInnis, Gaynell Baylis,Debra Baylis, Patsy Baylis and Cassandra Baylis, all of Monticello;his brothers, Frankie D. Baylis and Eddie Baylis, both ofMonticello; and many nieces and nephews.

Wilmer Glenn Brister

Services for Wilmer Glenn Brister of Bogue Chitto are 10 a.m.,Friday, July 23, at the Brookhaven Funeral Home.

Visitation is Thursday from 5-8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mr. Brister, 61, died July 19, 2004, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center in McComb. He was born in Gulfport on June18, 1943, to Alton George Brister and Annie Bell TownsendBrister.

He retired after working offshore with Diamond for 32 years. Hewas a Mason and a member of the Brookhaven Lodge #241 for 40years.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Elaine Brister of Bogue Chitto; his son,Jeff Brister of Bogue Chitto; his sister, Betty Williams and herhusband, John, of Brookhaven; his mother-in-law, Ruth Scott, ofBogue Chitto; his granddaughter, Brandie Nicole Brister; andseveral nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to thelocal hospital.

Bobbie Ree Burt Dear

Services for Bobbie Ree Burt Dear of Hazlehurst are 1 p.m.,Friday, July 23, at First Baptist Church Chapel in Hazlehurst withburial in Harmony Cemetery in Crystal Springs. Community FuneralServices is in charge of arrangements. Services will be officiatedby Dr. Robert Hanvey.

Visitation is 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., at the church.

Mrs. Dear, 76, died July 20, 2004, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter in Brookhaven from injuries sustained in an automobileaccident. She was born in Crystal Springs on Oct. 15, 1927, toHance Wilson Burt and Ethel Jane Sojourner Burt.

She was a lifelong resident of Copiah County. Her family movedto Hazlehurst where she graduated from Hazlehurst High School in1945. She married Theodore Dear Sr., and raised her five childrenin a home filled with her passion for cooking and joyouscelebrations of holidays and special occasions. Her most rewardingemployment was the more than 10 years she spent at Royal MaidIndustries for the Blind. She was a member of First Baptist Churchin Hazlehurst.

Preceding her in death were her brothers, Burnell Burt and EugieRay Burt.

Survivors are her husband, Theodore Dear Sr.; her daughters,Robin Burton and her husband, Hardy, of Brandon, Jerri Wallace andher husband, Sherrill, of Brookhaven, Bobbye Dear of Dallas, Texas,and Marie Dear of Pearl; her son, Theodore Dear Jr. of Hazlehurst;five grandchildren, Tommy Burton, Michael Dear, Lindsay Burton,Zachary Dear and Rachel Dear; one great-granddaughter, Abi; and ahost of friends.

Jacqueline Renice Rogers-Jenkins

Services for Jacqueline “Jackie” Renice Rogers-Jenkins of Roxieare 1 p.m., Saturday, July 24, at Roxie First Baptist Church withburial in Hunt’s Cemetery in Kirby.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 5 p.m., at Marshall FuneralHome Chapel in Bude, and Saturday from 11 a.m. until the serviceat, at the church. Wake and family hour will be Friday from 7-9p.m. at Roxie First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Jenkins, 37, died July 16, 2004, at Franklin MemorialHospital in Meadville. She was born on Jan. 27, 1967, to Henry(Pop) Rogers and the late Ella Rogers.

Preceding her in death were her mother; one daughter, MirandaWhite; and her grandparents.

Survivors are her husband, Henry Jenkins Jr. of Roxie; threesons, Paris White, Marcus White and Shaquille Jenkins; twogodchildren; two sisters, Connie Rogers Cameron and Teresa RogersHaggard; four brothers, Charles Hunt, Dale Starks, Mark Rogers andGrant Rogers; one special sister; 17 aunts; nine uncles; 16 nieces;21 nephews; and a host of cousins and other relatives andfriends.

Ocelia E. McKey

Services for Ocelia E. McKey are 1 p.m., Friday, July 23, atBrookhaven Funeral Home with burial in Bethel Methodist ChurchCemetery.

Visitation is Thursday from 5-9 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mrs. McKey, 56, died July 21, 2004, at her residence. She wasborn in Liberty on April 3, 1948, to Bartley Etheridge and OceliaNelson Etheridge.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of God.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors are her husband, Alvin B. McKey of Brookhaven; herdaughter, Wanda Dickerson of Brookhaven; her sons, Charles McKey ofLake Charles, La., and Benji McKey and Frankie McKey, both ofBrookhaven; her sisters, Fannie Lea Thornhill of Summit, Pam Craftof Magnolia, Ann Logan of Kansas City, Kan., and Frances Owens ofMagnolia; and six grandchildren.
