Garbage pick up in the county continues to run behind, butofficials are optimistic that additional trucks will help get theservice back on schedule by next week.

Equipment problems last week caused BFI’s schedule to getbehind, said Debbie Brent, solid waste coordinator, and a truckfire earlier this week added to difficulties. Brent had no otherinformation on the fire.

Brent said Wednesday that additional garbage trucks had arrivedin the county to assist with pick up. She said Tuesday’s garbageshould be picked by Thursday.

“Wednesday’s, Thursday’s and Friday’s routes are going to pushedback a day,” Brent said.

Brent expected Wednesday’s garbage would be picked up onThursday, Thursday’s on Friday and Friday’s on Saturday.
