Poinsett to coach at Arkansas Tech

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (AP) – Arkansas Tech University announcedWednesday it has added three assistant football coaches.

Dave Poinsett will coach linebackers. Poinsett was previouslyoffensive coordinator for the Arena Football 2 team the MaconKnights. He’s also coached at colleges in Mississippi, NorthCarolina and South Carolina. He was head coach at Copiah-LincolnCommunity College in 2002-03.

Ryan Wallace, a former assistant coach at Forrest City HighSchool, will work with running backs. Wallace has a master’s degreein sports administration from Henderson State University, where healso earned a bachelor’s degree in physical education.

Mark Taylor will coach wide receivers and be the university’sNCAA compliance coordinator. Taylor graduated from Tech in 2002 andhas worked at the University of Arkansas at Monticello for twoyears.
