Services for Sallie Mae Booth of Laurel were 1 p.m., Friday,Aug. 6, at Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church with burial inJerusalem Cemetery in Bay Springs. Bay Springs Funeral Home was incharge of arrangements.
Mrs. Booth, 84, died Sunday, Aug. 1, at South Central RegionalMedical Center. She was born in Sylverena on Jan. 24, 1920, to AlexThompson and Minerva Bridges Pickens.
She was a home maker. She was a member of St. John Missionarybaptist Church in Meridian.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Survivors are her daughters, Flonel Talbert of Austin Texas,Connie Jones of Houston, Texas, and Clem Harrison of Brookhaven;her sons, James Booth of Laurel, Joe Robert Booth of Farrel, Pa.,John L. Booth of Masurg, Ohio, Joseph Bernard Booth of Louin, andRichard Thompson of Meridian; her sisters, Elvelyn Crosby ofFarrel, Pa., Betty Hosey of Youngtown, Ohio, Bernice Banks ofHattiesburg, Flonette Holloway of Magee; her brother, Joe L.Pickens of Bay Springs; twenty-three grandchildren; eighteengreat-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
