Services for Jeffrey Glenn Smith of Brookhaven are 11 a.m.,Tuesday, Aug. 17, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church inBrookhaven with burial in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery inLawrence County.
Visitation is Monday from 5-7 p.m., at Brookhaven FuneralHome.
Mr. Smith, 37, died Aug. 14, 2004, at University Medical Centerin Jackson. He was born in Brookhaven on April 7, 1967, to SydneySmith and Patricia Waldrop Smith, both of Brookhaven.
He was territory manager with Performance Food Group in Magee.He was a 1985 graduate of Brookhaven High School and attended St.Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. He was a veteran of the AirForce, where he served four years. He was a devoted son, husband,father, brother and friend. He was a volunteer with Native AmericanArts in Area Schools and Community. He loved the outdoors, hisanimals and life.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents, James William(Grady) and Margaret Inez Waldrop, his grandfather, John VernonSmith; his mother-in-law, Janet Frances Puffer; and two uncles,William Grady (Billy) Waldrop and James Rudolph Smith.
Survivors are his parents; his wife, Peggy Diane Puffer Smith ofBrookhaven; his daughter, Chelsea Diane Smith of Brookhaven; hisson, Keagan Glenn Smith of Brookhaven; his nieces, Danika AlyeenZweifel of Cabot, Ark. and Tina Marie Gibney of Somersworth, N.H.;his father-in-law, Edward William Puffer of Brookhaven; his sisterand brother-in-law, Eva Alyeen and Scott Allen Zweifel of Cabot;his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Irene Emma and John EdwardJackson of Jackson, Tenn.; his nephews, Brady Nicholas Zweifel ofCabot, and Edward William Jackson of Jackson, Tenn.; hisgrandmother, Lois Magdalene Smith of Bogue Chitto; and numerousaunts and uncles.
