Services for Mildred Curry Hale of Baton Rouge, La., are 2 p.m.,Tuesday, Aug. 24, at Green Oaks Funeral Home in Baton Rouge withburial in Green Oaks Cemetery.
Visitation is Tuesday from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeralhome.
Mrs. Hale, 77, died Aug. 21, 2004, at her residence. She was anative of Haynesville, La. and was born to Robert H. and Mildred S.Curry.
She attended Louisiana State University and was a member of PhiMu Sorority. During the course of her husband’s 39 year career withExxon Pipeline Company, the couple lived in Shreveport, La.,Magnolia, Ark., and Brookhaven, before moving to Baton Rouge in1966. She loved the Lord, her family, her friends, her cats, music,art, reading, swimming and seeing new places. She loved to sing andwas a soloist with the church choir in Brookhaven for many years.She was also a member of the Broadmoor Presbyterian Church for 38years. She was married for 57 years to Claude J. “Pete” HaleJr.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and twobrothers-in-law, Ralph Naremore and Harry Davidson.
Survivors are her husband; her daughter, Claudia Hale Birdsallof Washington D.C.; her son Richard Curry Hale of Metairie, La.;her sisters, Virginia Curry Naremore of Baton Rouge and Mary CurryDavidson of Danville, Calif.; one brother-in-law; and onegranddaughter.
