Services for Mary Florence Hughes Beasley of Brookhaven are 11a.m., Saturday, Aug. 28, at St. James M.B. Church with burial inRosehill M.B. Church Cemetery.
Visitation is Friday from noon until 8 p.m. with family hourfrom 7-8 p.m. at Williams Mortuary.
Mrs. Beasley, 60, died Aug. 20, 2004, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. She was born in Brookhaven on Nov. 25, 1943, to SamHughes and Ruth Stamp Hughes.
She was a 1962 graduate of Alexander High School and attendedAlcorn State University for three years. She was a member ofRosehill M.B. Church.
Preceding her in death were her father; her sister, DorisSutton; her brother, Bobby Charles Watkins; and two grandchildren,Trayshun Beasley and Michael Beasley Jr.
Survivors are her mother; her daughter, Felicia Beasley ofBrookhaven; her sons, Dennis Beasley and Michael Beasley, both ofBrookhaven; her sisters, Shirley Hudson, Ella Mae Robinson, AdaButler, Bobbie Jean Stewart, Carrie Crossley, and Cynthia Keys, allof Brookhaven, Doris Hall and Janet Simmons, both of Chicago, Ill.,Damita Fairman and Pamela Jackson, both of Jackson, Cynthia Fordand Tonya Johnson, both of Brookhaven; her brothers, the Rev.William “Sonny” Hughes of Brookhaven, Jessie Wilson of Brookhavenand Stanley Hughes of Jackson; a devoted granddaughter, MeliciaBeasley; five other grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephewsand other relatives and friends.
