WOODVILLE — The North Pike Lady Jaguars whipped the WilkinsonCounty Lady Wildcats 11-0 in girls slowpitch softball play. The winsecured North Pike the Division 6-3A title for the ninthconsecutive year.

“We hit the ball well tonight and played good defense,” saidNorth Pike coach Sonya Wallace. “I’m proud of my girls forachieving this goal in a rebuilding season. Some of them havereally stepped up their play and have done a good job filling thepositions of those five starters who graduated last year.”

Powering North Pike with a home run was Jessica Turner. JenniferConey tripled and singled. Hitting a double and a single each wereLeonna Ballard and Kaitlyn Perry. Emily Vanlandingham tripled. ToriGaskin singled twice. Doubling were Maggie Dunaway and CatherineWest. Casey Dickerson and Kari Bessonette singled.

Jenna Dickerson posted the win.

North Pike improved to 13-8 on the season and 9-0 in divisionplay.
