Benjamin Harrison Greer

Services for Benjamin Harrison Greer of McComb are 11 a.m.Saturday, Oct. 2, at Providence Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home inMcComb.

Mr. Greer, 72, died Sept. 30, 2004, at McComb Extended Care. Hewas born in Walthall County on April 28, 1932, to Harrison Greerand Maybelle Caves Greer.

He was a self employed farmer and a member of Providence BaptistChurch.

Preceding him in death were his parents; five brothers, Hardy,Arlis, Charles, Cecil and Carl Greer; and two sisters, ThaderaTullos and Alvena Barron.

Survivors are his sisters, Lela Tullos of Pricedale, and LouettaDunaway of Pearl; his brothers, Billy D. Greer of Jayess, and JoeGreer of Jayess; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Melodie L. Jones

Services for Melodie L. Jones of Atlanta, Ga., a native ofSummit, are 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3, at Smithdale Church of God inChrist with burial in the church cemetery. Craft Funeral Home inMcComb is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Jones, 27, died Sept. 27, 2004, in Bullock County, Ga. Shewas born in Summit on Jan. 20, 1977, to Ellis Jones Jr. and MarieC. Jones of Summit.

She was a basketball standout at Bogue Chitto High School andwent on to play at both Mississippi State and the University ofSouthern Mississippi, where she majored in sports medicine. She wasa member of Smithdale Church of God in Christ and a homemaker.

Survivors are her parents; her three sisters, Deborah Smith ofWesson, Angela Patterson of McComb, and Kimberly Williams ofSummit; her five brothers, Louis D. Jones of Brookhaven, RichardJones of South Carolina, Anthony Cameron and Vincent Jones, both ofSummit, and Daniel Jones of Baton Rouge, La.; a devoted friend, KenGardner of Jackson; nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and otherrelatives and friends.

Lorrin Kelly Nevels

Services for Lorrin Kelly Nevels of Tavares, Fla., are 2 p.m.Saturday, Oct. 2, at Community Funeral Services Chapel with burialin Wellman Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Nevels, 24, died Sept. 23, 2004, at Watermann Hospital inFlorida. She was born in McComb on Sept. 1, 1980, to Steve Nevelsand Lorri Strahan Worley of Florida.

She was a homemaker.

Preceding her in death were her father; and her grandparents,Doug Strahan, Paul Lee Nevels and Ruby Petie Nevels.

Survivors are her mother; her stepmother, Sarah Nevels; herdaughter, Wednesday Abigale; her sister, Stevie Nevels; herstepsister, Hannah Russell; her brother, Jason Andrew Strahan ofFlorida; her grandmother, Dot Strahan of Florida; her aunts,Stephanie Stinson of McComb, Paulette Fioretti and her husband,Eddie of Jackson, and Jan Melancon and her husband, Steve, ofBrookhaven; her uncles, Billy Strahan and his wife, Judy, ofFlorida, Eddie Nevels, Greg Nevels, and Rex Nevels and his wife,Louise, all of Brookhaven; her cousins, Robin Phillips, Haley andB.J. Stinson of McComb, William and Ashley Strahan of Florida,Emily N. Warren, Shannon Nevels, Jena and Louis Melancon ofBrookhaven, DeLynn Bilyeu of Texas, Robbie Denson of Sturgery,Maurie Gunnell of Seminary, and Laura Gall of Jackson.

Services for Lewis W. Wilkinson Jr. of Roxie are 2 p.m. today,Oct. 1, at Praise Cathedral with burial in Roxie Cemetery. FranklinFuneral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is today from 1-2 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Wilkinson, 73, died Sept. 29, 2004, at St. Dominic-JacksonMemorial Hospital in Jackson. He was born in Adams County on Aug.13, 1931, to Lewis W. Wilkinson Sr. and Letitia RutledgeWilkinson.

He was retired from International Paper Company in Natchez. Hewas a veteran of the Air Force and a member of PraiseCathedral.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Irene Wilkinson of Roxie; his daughters,Janet “Missy” Todd of Meadville, Natalie Wilkinson of Hattiesburg,and Letitia Etheridge of Byram; his son, Darryl Wilkinson ofNatchez; his sister, Sarah Hadskey of Jacksonville, Texas; fivegrandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
