Bobby Lance Ashley

Services for Bobby Lance Ashley of Wesson are 11 a.m. Wednesday,Nov. 10 at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Wesson with burial in thechurch cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. at Harrigill Funeral Home andWednesday from 10-11 a.m. at the church.

Mr. Ashley, 39, died Nov. 8, 2004, at his residence. He was bornin Brookhaven on Aug. 19, 1965, to Edward Ashley Sr. and LaveneWells Ashley.

He was a cabinet maker at Wesson Carpenter Shop. He was a memberof Rocky Hill Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Cindy Young Ashley of Wesson; his threedaughters, Trina L. Sessums and Kerry M. Frazier, both of CrystalSprings, and Ashley N. Berry of Wesson; his sons, Cody Lee Ashley,Justen Taylor Ashley and Zachary Seth Ashley, all of Brookhaven,and Donnie Berry (stepson) of Wesson; his sisters, Charlotte Newelland Betty Morgan, both of Wesson; his brothers, Edward L. AshleyJr. and Billy Duncan (stepbrother), both of Wesson; and onegrandchild.

James Prentiss Beall

Services for James Prentiss Beall of Wesson were 11 a.m. Monday,Nov. 1 at Zion Hill Baptist Church with burial in the churchcemetery. Community Funeral Services was in charge ofarrangements.

Mr. Beall, 77, died Oct. 30, 2004, at his residence. He was bornin Copiah County on Nov. 6, 1926, to Luther Beall and Maggie DavisBeall.

He was self-employed in road construction. He was a Navyveteran, where he was Seaman First Class. He was a member of theAmerican Legion Club. He was a member of the Baptist faith.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and a brother, GeorgeBeall.

Survivors are his wife, Doris F. “Jackie” Beall; his daughtersand sons-in-law, Sandra and Steve Tressler of Montoursville, Pa.,and Susan and Don Nevels of Brookhaven; his son anddaughter-in-law, Ricky and Elaine Beall of Wesson; his sisters,Ruby Montgomery of Brookhaven, and Minnie Wooten of Wesson; hisbrothers, Dennis Beall and T.D. Beall, both of Wesson, Lee Beall ofHazlehurst and Benjamin Beall, Erin Tressler and Chad Tressler; hisgreat-grandchildren, Wyatt Beall Everett, Millie Fortenberry andAlly Everett; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Donations may be made to the building fund at Zion Hill BaptistChurch in Wesson.

Hugh E. Smith Sr.

Graveside services with full military honors for Hugh E. SmithSr. were 11:30 a.m. Nov. 6, at Fairmount Memorial Park in Spokane,Wash. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home of Spokane was in charge ofarrangements.

Mr. Smith, 92, died Nov. 2, 2004, in Gulfport. He was born inBrookhaven on Nov. 13, 1911, to Wayne and Della (Whittington)Smith.

He served his country during World War II in England as a MasterSergeant with the Air Force. He retired after 20 years ofservice.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife of 54 years,Eleanor M. Smith; his brother, Troy Smith; and his sister, CleoSmith.

Survivors are his son, Hugh E. Smith Jr.; his sister, Etta M.Brewer of Brookhaven; three grandchildren; and fourgreat-grandchildren.
