7 arrested in drug sting

Seven Lincoln County men were arrested last week on various drugcharges following a Friday night sting operation by the LincolnCounty Sheriff’s Department.
Three of the men were arrested after an undercover sheriff’sdepartment agent purchased drugs from them.
“We would make the buy and then swoop in and arrest them,” saidCapt. Dustin Bairfield.
Paul Graham, 17, of 2455 Kelly Road, Brookhaven, and CalvinOrlando Sanders, 29, of 1141 S. First St., Brookhaven, were chargedwith sale of a controlled substance (crack cocaine) after allegeddrug purchases by the agents, Sheriff Wiley Calcote said.
The third man involved in an alleged undercover purchase wasReginald Tyrone Black, 40, of 2781 Porter Trail, Brookhaven. He ischarged with sale of marijuana, possession with intent to sell(marijuana), possession with intent to sell (crack cocaine) andresisting arrest, Calcote said.
An investigation of Black had been ongoing for three to fourmonths, Bairfield said. The agent had been attempting to purchasecrack cocaine.
“At the time of the sale, he tried to run from us and resistedarrest. We then found some marijuana inside his pants pocket,”Bairfield said.
After arresting Black, the captain said, deputies received ananonymous tip that Black was to meet some people at two gasstations to sell the marijuana.
Law enforcement officials say an agent posed as Black and soldmarijuana to Tony Nettles, 46, of 1248 Gum Grove Road, Brookhaven;Joey W. Cannon, 40, of 904 Atlantis Loop, Bogue Chitto; BrianWebre, 37, of 301 1/2 Montgomery St., Brookhaven; and Lavern J.Leblanc, 22, of 301 1/2 Montgomery St., Brookhaven. The four menare charged with conspiracy to possess a controlled substance andconspiracy, Calcote said.
