Services for Idella Williams of Atlanta, Ga., are 12:30 p.m.Saturday, Nov. 27 at R.E. Tyler Funeral Home Chapel with burial inMeadville Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from 1-6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Williams, 72, died Nov. 17, 2004, in Atlanta. She was bornin Franklin County on Sept. 3, 1932, to John Henry Thomas andStella Thomas.

She was affectionately known by her family and friends as”Madea.” She attended Atlanta Area Technical School of Nursing fornursing assistant. She was a nursing assistant at Highview NursingHome in Atlanta. She resided at John O. Chile’s Highrise where sheenjoyed checking on different residents.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, JohnWilliams Sr.; a sister, Hattie; and a brother, Larkie Mitchell.

Survivors are her daughters, Delores Williams-Buford and Gale W.Daugherty, both of Atlanta, and Debbie “Niecy” Mitchell of Bude;her sons, John Henry Williams Jr. and James Williams, both of BatonRouge, La.; her brothers, J. C. Johnson and Dallas Johnson, both ofLos Angeles, Calif.; one aunt, Gladys Thomas of Meadville; a hostof grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces andnephews.
