Walker did not have a cost estimate on the repair Monday.

The bridge could be repaired as soon as the end of the week, hesaid, if weather permits. Otherwise, it will be repaired and opened”as soon as possible.”

In a related manner, County Engineer Carl Ray Furr informedsupervisors Monday that Lincoln County would receive between$835,000 and $840,000 in LSBP, or bridge repair, funds.

Supervisors are currently prioritizing bridges in theirdistricts that need repair and have a deadline of Feb. 6 to havethat list complete and submitted to the state.

The nearly $850,000 in bridge repair funds is Lincoln County’sportion of $40 million approved for roads and bridges statewide ina $456 million bond bill passed during a special session late lastmonth, Furr said.
