Services for Inez Brooks of Brookhaven are 11 a.m. Sunday, Dec.12 at Zion Chapel Church of Christ in Bolton with burial in thechurch cemetery.

Visitation is Saturday from 2-6 p.m. at R.E. Tyler FuneralHome.

Mrs. Brooks, 80, died Dec. 7, 2004, at her residence. She wasborn in Bolton on July 23, 1924, to Alton Jackson and FlorenceNixon Jackson.

She attended Madame C.J. Walker Beauty School in Memphis, Tenn.,and was a former beautician. She was a member of Zion Chapel Churchof Christ.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands, WillieWall and Herman Brooks; and four grandchildren.

Survivors are her daughters, Doletha Gates of Kansas City, Mo.,Toledia DeGraffenreid of Decatur, Ga., Lillian T. Barnes ofDetroit, Mich., and Florence Wilson of Brookhaven; her son, WillieCrawford of Gulfport; her cousins she raised as her children,Earlene Hammond and Susan Benjamin of Michigan; her 14grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces andnephews.

Howard Randall Cupit

Services for Howard Randall Cupit of Union Church are 2 p.m.today, Dec. 10 at Union Church Presbyterian Church with burial inUnion Church Cemetery. Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville is incharge of arrangements.

Visitation is today from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Cupit, 64, died Dec. 8, 2004, at Mississippi Baptist MedicalCenter in Jackson. He was born in Jefferson County on Jan. 27,1940, to Jeff Truly Cupit and Louise Osborne Cupit of UnionChurch.

He was a farmer and member of the Presbyterian church.

Preceding him in death were his father; and one brother.

Survivors are his mother; his wife, Lynda Sue Cupit of UnionChurch; his daughters, Suezan McCormick and Teresa McKinney, bothof Union Church; his brother, Frank Cupit of Jackson; and twograndchildren.

Ruby Hunt

Services for Ruby Hunt of Blytheville, Ark., are 1 p.m.Saturday, Dec. 11 at Mt. Olive M.B. Church with burial in thechurch cemetery. R.E. Tyler Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is Saturday from noon until 1 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Hunt, 77, died Dec. 6, 2004, at her residence. She was bornin Brookhaven on March 13, 1927, to Jessie Putman Sr. and CassieBowman Putman.

She worked in food service for a number of years. She lived inBenton Harbor, Mich., for many years before moving to Blytheville.She was a member of the United Methodist Church in BentonHarbor.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, HoseaHunt; three brothers; and one sister.

Survivors are her daughter, Alice Foster of Blytheville; herson, L.J. Porker of Brookhaven; her sisters, Elizabeth P. Frelix ofChicago, Ill., Frances Braxton, Inez London and Blanche Bryant, allof Brookhaven, and Louvenia Parrish of Detroit, Mich.; her brother,Jessie Putman Jr. of Chicago; seven grandchildren; and a host ofnieces and nephews.

Lorine H. Norris

Services for Lorine H. Norris of Meadville are 2 p.m. today,Dec. 10 at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Meadville with burial inProvidence Baptist Church Cemetery in Meadville.

Visitation is today from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Norris, 65, died Dec. 8, 2004, at Meadville Nursing Home.She was born in Franklin County on Sept. 30, 1939, to EarnestHalford and Leona Halford Halford.

She was a ward clerk and nurses aid.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, MarvinNorris; one sister; and two brothers.

Survivors are her son, Gary Littleton of Meadville; one sister,Winnie Montgomery of Bude; and one granddaughter.

George Parker Sr.

Services for George Parker Sr. of Brookhaven are 2 p.m. Monday,Dec. 13 at Kynett Pilgrim United Methodist Church with burial inHillcrest Cemetery. R.E. Tyler Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

Mr. Parker, 57, died Dec. 7, 2004, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Lincoln County on April 23, 1947, to NellieBlackmon Johnson of Brookhaven and Louis Parker Sr.

He was an assemblyman at Delphi Packard Electric Systems and amember of Kynett Pilgrim United Methodist Church. He served in theArmy.

Preceding him in death were his father; his brothers, Louis Jr.and Robert Ray; his stepbrothers, Robert Johnson and JimmyCrockett.

Survivors are his mother; his wife, Patricia Smith Parker ofBrookhaven; his sons, George Parker Jr. and James Dexter Parker,both of Texas, Dana Parker and Geffery M. Parker of Brookhaven; hisstepsons, Kevin and Tony, both of Brookhaven and Christopher ofWesson; his stepdaughter, Monesca R. Smith of Brookhaven; hisstepbrothers, Al McIntyre and James Crockett; his sisters, MargaretVictor of New Jersey, Mary Carter and Betty Parker, both ofSeattle, Wash., Artoria Dixon of Brookhaven, and Helen Brazile ofColorado Springs, Co.; 16 grandchildren; and a host of nieces andnephews.
