Logan, BA girls whip Columbia

COLUMBIA — Mallory Logan fired in a game-high 29 pointsSaturday to directed the Brookhaven Academy Lady Cougars to a 74-46District 4-AA win over the Columbia Academy Lady Cougars inbasketball action. Logan, who nailed 5 three-pointers, also grabbedfour rebounds, made four steals and had four assists.

The Brookhaven girls, coached by Barry Gray, improved to 11-1 onthe season and are 3-0 in district play.

Adding support to the Brookhaven win with 13 points and sixrebounds apiece were Kelli Byrd and Kristian Davidson. Byrd alsomade four steals.

Junior High Action

The Brookhaven Academy girls crushed Columbia 48-22, improvingtheir district record to 4-0 and overall worksheet to 11-1.

Drew Holland Tigner sparked Brookhaven with 15 points. KelliBrady led off the backboards with five rebounds followed by HannahWatts with three.

Brookhaven Academy entertains Centreville Academy Friday forfour games beginning with the junior high girls at 4 p.m.
