Dorothy M. Case

Services for Dorothy M. Case, of Bogue Chitto, are 2 p.m. today,Jan. 19 at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Gum GroveCemetery.

Mrs. Case, 86, died Jan. 17, 2005, at Silver Cross Nursing Home.She was born in Tallahatchie County on March 27, 1918, to SamuelRobert Lindley and Minnie Winborne Lindley.

She was a retired licensed practical nurse. She worked at King’sDaughters Medical Center and in local nursing homes. She was amember of New Prospect Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her first husband,Harvey Lee Smith; her daughter, Shelva Jean Smith; four brothers;and three sisters.

Survivors are her husband, Charles Case; her daughters, ShirleyMitchell, of Bogue Chitto, and stepdaughter, Diane Owens, of BogueChitto; her stepson, Glenn Ivan Case, of Brookhaven; 15grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Bryan Smith, Carroll Smith,Joey Wilson, Jason Wilson, Chris Case, Hank Owens and MattCase.

Honorary pallbearer will be Keith Smith.

Lisa Blailock Creel

Services for Lori Lisa Blailock Creel, of McComb, are 3:30 p.m.Thursday, Jan. 20 at Hartman Funeral Home of McComb with burial inBarron Bethany Cemetery. The Rev. Rick Kennedy and Dr. DavidMillican will officiate.

Visitation is today from 6-9 p.m. and Thursday from 1:30-3:30p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Creel, 45, died Jan. 17, 2005, at her residence following alengthy illness. She was born at the U.S. Naval Air Station atGuantanamo Bay, Cuba, on Oct. 4, 1959, to Mary Belle Boyd Blailockand Jack Blailock.

She was a cosmetologist. She was a member of East McComb BaptistChurch. Mrs. Creel enjoyed flower arranging, arts and crafts,crocheting and tending to her dogs. Before her illness, she lovedto sing and help her husband with his school and church work.

Survivors are her parents; her husband of 21 years, Danny Creel,of McComb; her sister, Shari Blailock, of McComb; and aunts,uncles, cousins, other relatives and many, many friends.

Pallbearers will be Billy Boyd, David Creel, Vince Cullotta,Mike Barber, Joe Burns, J.L. Slater, Richard Creel, Charles Beamand Tommy McKinley.

Memorials may be made to East McComb Baptist Church or HorizonHospice.

Herman L. Whittington

Services for Herman L. Whittington of Tylertown are 2 p.m.today, Jan. 19 at Powells Grove United Pentecostal Church in Jayesswith burial in the church cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home is incharge of arrangements.

Mr. Whittington, 77, died Jan. 18, 2005, at Beverly ExtendedCare in Tylertown. He was born in Amite County on Sept. 11, 1927,to Horace Whittington and Ella Whittington.

He was a pipefitter. He worked on the pipelines in Louisiana fora number of years. He was a member of Powells Grove UnitedPentecostal Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, DorothyThornhill Whittington; a brother, A.J. Whittington; and a sister,Louise Whittington Lambert.
