Services for Isaac Dykes, of Sontag, were 11 a.m. today, Feb. 14at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel with burial in ShilohBaptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Dykes, 86, died Feb. 12, 2005, at Silver Cross Nursing Home.He was born in Bassfield on Nov. 12, 1918, to Houston Dykes andEliza Jane Wilson Dykes.

He was a retired road construction worker. He was a member ofShiloh Baptist Church. He served in the military and was a memberof the Monticello V.F.W. and of Disabled American Veterans(D.A.V.).

Preceding him in death were his parents; three brothers; and twosisters.

Survivors are his wife, Elma Adell Honea Dykes, of Sontag; hissons, Jerry Dykes and his wife, Nancy, of Wesson, and Danny Dykesand his wife, Sharon, of Brookhaven; his sister, Lois Smith, ofSontag; his brother, Tib Dykes, of Sontag; his grandchildren andtheir spouses, Carole and Justin Bass, of Wesson, Dana and BryantPhillips, of Fort Worth, Texas, and David Dykes, of Clinton.
