Collis Robinson

Services for Collis Robinson, of Liberty, are 2 p.m. Saturday,Feb. 19 at Bethel Methodist Church with burial in the churchcemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 6 p.m. at WilliamsMortuary.

Mr. Robinson, 71, died Feb. 10, 2005, at his residence. He wasborn in Amite County on Sept. 26, 1933, to Fred Lee Robinson Sr.and Mozell Robinson.

He was retired. He was a member of Bethel Methodist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two sons, JosephRobinson and Willie Russell Robinson; one grandson, OrlandoRobinson; four brothers, Hollis, Louis, Elmo and Fred Lee Robinson;and four sisters, Ilean Jackson, Bernell Tatum, Pearl LeeWeathersby and Ada Lee Griffin.

Survivors are his wife of 56 years, Merlena Robinson, ofLiberty; his daughters, Ella R. Martinez, of Mableton, Ga., EvelynHull and her husband, Anthony Hull, of Milwaukee, Wisc., LindaRobinson Cooper and her husband, John Cooper, of Milwaukee,Jacqueline Byrd and her husband, Stafford Byrd, of Gloster, andJulia Mathis and her husband, Jessie Mathis, of Milwaukee; hissons, Johnny Robinson and his wife, Priscilla Robinson, of McComb,and Roxie Dale Wilkinson and his wife, Dean Wilkinson, of Liberty;his brother, Moyese Perkins, of Liberty, his sister, Crissie LeeAnderson, and her husband, Hollis Anderson, of Liberty; threebrothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; 26 grandchildren; 11great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and otherrelatives.

Hazel Dixon Scarbrough

Services for Hazel Dixon Scarbrough, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Saturday, Feb. 19 at Macedonia M.B. Church with burial in thechurch cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 6 p.m. at WilliamsMortuary.

Mrs. Scarbrough, 67, died Feb. 14, 2005, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. She was born in Brookhaven on Oct. 4, 1937, toHenry Dixon and Lela Kelly Dixon.

She was disabled.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her brothers, WillieKelly, Johnson Kelly and Isiah Kelly; her sisters, Mariah Gill andEmma Byrd; and other siblings.

Survivors are her daughters, Bertha Dixon and her husband,Jimmy, of Brookhaven, and Ruby Scarbrough, of Pensacola, Fla.; hersons, James Scarbrough and his wife, Mary, of Gulfport, ReedieScarbrough, Roger Scarbrough and his wife, Shirley, and MarvinScarbrough and his wife, Tammy, all of Brookhaven; herstepchildren, Billy Ray Scarbrough and William D. Scarbrough, bothof Brookhaven; her brothers, George Kelly and his wife, Katie, andJ.D. Dixon, all of Brookhaven; her sisters, Juanita Robinson andVictoria Askew and her husband, Walter, all of New Orleans, La.,and Mazie Mackabee, of Stockton, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; 10great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relativesand friends.
