Services for James T. Smith, of Monticello, are 11 a.m.Saturday, Feb. 19 at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Monticello withburial in Bethshan Cemetery in Monticello.
Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Smith, 66, died Feb. 16, 2005, at his residence. He was born inRichton on Aug. 5, 1938, to Carnie E. Smith and Arulee WahatleySmith.
He was a retired maintenance mechanic from Georgia Pacific inMonticello. He was a member of New Zion Baptist Church. He enjoyedgoing to Bible study and church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and his first wife, ElvieOwens Smith.
Survivors are his wife, Betty Smith, of Monticello; his sons, JamesSmith Jr., of Monticello, Anthony Smith, of Wilson, N.C., MichaelSmith, of Mobile, Ala., and Joseph Smith, of Jackson; his sisters,Annette Windham, of Repton, Ala., Jodie Robbins, of Robertsdale,Ala., and Voncill Smith, of Milton, Fla.; his brothers, Arvin RaySmith and Paul Smith, both of Pensacola, Fla.; seven grandchildren;and one great-grandchild.
