Services for Ruby Wilson, of Brookhaven, are noon Wednesday,March 16 at Ebenezer A.M.E. Church with burial in MacedoniaCemetery at Loyd Star.
Visitation is Tuesday from noon until 6 p.m. at R.E. TylerFuneral Home.
Mrs. Wilson, 91, died March 9, 2005, at Haven Hall LivingCenter. She was born in Lincoln County on Aug. 31, 1913, to ElijahButler and Lucy Tillman Butler.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Ebenezer A.M.E. Churchwhere she served as church musician, in the choir and as a memberof the Usher Board, Women’s Missionary Society and as a ClassLeader.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, EphraimWilson; her sisters, Radie Butler Johnson, Alean Butler Nelson,Ellen Butler McDuffey, Carrie B. Ferdinand and Alice Butler; herbrothers, Floyd Butler, Frank Butler, Roy Butler, Nathan Butler,James Butler, Carlis Butler and Matthew Butler.
Survivors are her sisters, Florence Butler Hayes, of Monroe,La., and Lucy Butler Watson, of New Orleans; her brother, J. HughButler, of Brookhaven; and a host of nieces and nephews.
