Services for Walter Lee Denman, 80, of San Antonio, Texas,formerly of Lincoln County, died on April 17, 2005. He was born onAug. 18, 1924 in McComb to William and Hughetta Denman.

He served in the Navy on Attu Island during World War II, andwas called back into the Navy for the Korean Conflict, where heserved from 1950-1952 in the Amphibious Force in the Pacific.

Upon being discharged, Walter went to work for the Air Force asa Procurement Officer.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marie; and their threechildren, Walter L. Denman Jr. of Marietta Ga., Linda Anne Ford ofTuscaloosa, Ala., and James William Denman of Helotes, Texas; eightgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one brother, William H.Denman of Smithdale.

The burial was April 20th at Ft. Sam National Cemetery in SanAntonio, Texas, with military honors.
