Memorial services for Winnie Maude Ferrell, of Kerrville, Texas,are 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 26 at Catchings Funeral Home in McComb.The Rev. Bob Lynch will officiate.

Visitation is Tuesday from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Ferrell, 86, died Oct. 17, 2004. She was born in Brookhavenon Nov. 19, 1917, to Brittie LaPearl Strange and MarshallGivens.

She was a 57-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Herhome chapter was the Gussie Evans Chapter No. 243 O.E.S. inMagnolia. She and her husband Lowell were active for many yearswith the Eastern Star.

They were longtime residents of Fernwood. Upon retirement, theymoved to Baytown, Texas, to be closer to their daughters. Whileliving in Baytown, Mrs. Ferrell was an active member of Cedar BayouBaptist Church.

In June 1989, she moved to Prunedale, Calif., to live with herdaughter, Kirby Ann. In June 1999, they moved to Kerrville, whereMrs. Ferrell lived until her death.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, KirbyLowell Ferrell; a brother, Robert “Bob” Earl Givens; a daughter,Patricia Lynn Ferrell; and a grandson, Kirby Lewis Wilkinson.

Survivors are her two daughters, Kirby Ann Ferrell and Nancy KayWilkinson and her husband, Douglas R. Wilkinson; twogranddaughters, Cynthia “Cindy” Kay Wilkinson and Monica AnnThibodeaux and her husband, Robert James Thibodeaux; a grandson,Robert Ferrell Hair; two great-grandsons, Colby Ryan Wilkinson andJonathan Joseph Willemin; a great-great grandson, Canaan RyanMcKiernan; a sister-in-law, Bennie R. Givens; several half-brothersand half-sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
