Services for Viola Byrd, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m. Friday, May 6at St. James M.B. Church with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday from noon until 5 p.m. at R.E. TylerFuneral Home.

Mrs. Byrd, 85, died April 28, 2005, at Haven Hall HealthcareCenter. She was born in Franklin County on March 4, 1920, toJosephine Cameron.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. James M.B.Church.

Preceding her in death were her mother; and her husband, JohnnyByrd.

Survivors are her daughter, Johnnie Mae Dickey, of Brookhaven;her sister, Ora Lee Galloway, of Brookhaven; four grandchildren;and eight great-grandchildren.
