The sale of the old Monticello City Hall/Police Departmentbuilding to the county in exchange for the Lawrence CountySportsplex means some town residents will be voting elsewhere inthe municipal elections June 7.

Voters who cast their ballots at the building will now vote atthe Lawrence County Civic Center in a move approved by aldermenTuesday. The move was also approved by the Department of Justice ina letter received by the town earlier this week.
