Dear Editor,

On behalf of the Lincoln County Master Gardeners, I would liketo congratulate Matt Coleman and The DAILY LEADER for once againgiving wonderful publicity to the Great American Clean Up which isa part of the national Keep America Beautiful program that was justcompleted. Public awareness is, perhaps, the greatest tool inkeeping Lincoln County beautiful and remembering not to litter.

This countrywide project was also supported through the chanceryclerk’s office. Mr. Ronnie Durr’s work with the Solid WasteDepartment in the cleanup of white items and hard-to-dispose-ofitems was a huge success.

In the end, it was our Lincoln County citizens who participatedin the cleanup activities who made all the difference in thesuccess of this year’s Great American Clean Up.

The Lincoln County Master Gardeners say, “Thank You, LincolnCounty!”
