Services for James Earl Smith, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Saturday, July 16 at Williams Mortuary with burial in RosehillChurch Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from 1-5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Smith, 65, died July 11, 2005, at St. Dominic-JacksonMemorial Hospital. He was born in Lincoln County on Oct. 1, 1939,to Fred A. Smith and Almae Buie Smith.

He was retired from Alumax Aluminum in Riverside, Calif. He wasa 1959 graduate of Alexander High School.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, WattsSmith and Williams Smith; and a nephew, Anthony Smith.

Survivors are his wife, Martha Smith, of Brookhaven; hisdaughters, Roslyn Thibodeaux and her husband, Patrick, and MarionPitts, all of Riverside; his sons, Frank Smith, of Dutch Harbor,Ark., and William Smith and his wife, Donna, of Tacoma, Wash.; hissister, Yvonne Hodges and her husband, Chrisler, of Portland, Ore.;11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one niece; one nephew;and great nephews and other relatives and friends.
