Helen Brown
Services for Helen Brown, of Monticello, are 1 p.m. Thursday,July 28 at Oak Grove M.B. Church in Monticello with burial in thechurch cemetery.
Visitation is Wednesday from noon until 6 p.m. at R.E. TylerFuneral Home.
Mrs. Brown, 84, died July 24, 2005, at Lawrence County Hospitalin Monticello. She was born on March 6, 1921, to George Bennett andLaura Hearty Bennett.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Oak Grove M.B. Churchin Monticello, where she served on the Usher Board and was a memberof the Missionary Society.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her daughter, PastelDequir; and a brother, Marshall Bennett.
Survivors are her husband, Estus Brown Jr., of Monticello; hersons, Hearty Bennett and Johnny Bennett, both of Monticello; 13grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Warren ‘Boots’ Brown
Services for Warren “Boots” Brown, of Brookhaven, were 10 a.m.today, July 26 at Faith Presbyterian Church with burial in RosehillCemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Brown, 78, died July 23, 2005, at Beverly Health Care. Hewas born in Brookhaven on Oct. 25, 1926, to Warren Brown Sr. andLoraine Johnson Brown.
He worked for 20 years with California New Jersey Co., which ispresently Texaco-Chevron, and was a senior account agent withAllstate Insurance for 25 years. He was a member of the Model “A”Club in Jackson and a member of the Masonic Lodge and ExchangeClub. He was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church, where he servedas a deacon.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors are his wife, Jean Brown, of Brookhaven; hisdaughters, Vicki Brown Hollingsworth and her husband, Mark, ofMcComb, and Libby Brown Springer, of Columbus; his grandchildren,Courtney Hollingsworth Hewitt and her husband, Thomas, DavidHollingsworth and Lauren Springer; and a great-grandchild, WorthHewitt.

Clifton Cook
Services for Clifton Cook, of Vicksburg, formerly of Brookhaven,are 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 27 at Williams Mortuary with burial inMt. Zion B.C. Church Cemetery.
Visitation is today from 1 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Cook, 71, died July 18, 2005, in Vicksburg. He was born onMarch 6, 1934, to Jessie Cook and Fannie Milton Walker.
He was a retired logger.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and a sister.
Survivors are his sisters, Allie Mae Morris, of Jackson, andBertha Smith and her husband, Belbert, of Brookhaven; his brothers,Willie Caston, of Brookhaven, James Caston, of Yazoo City, R.C.Caston, of Brookhaven, and Mack Caston, of Yazoo City; and a hostof nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services for Ernestine Smith, of Bogue Chitto, are 10 a.m.Wednesday, July 27 at Brookhaven Funeral Home with burial in Mt.Zion Church of Christ Cemetery.
Visitation is today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Smith, 73, died July 24, 2005, at St. Dominic-JacksonMemorial Hospital. She was born in Lincoln County on Feb. 2, 1932,to Ernest Bailey and Ruby Hayes Bailey.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Bogue Chitto Church ofChrist.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, IsadoreSmith; two sons, Roland and Isadore “I.G.” Smith; a brother, RobertSmith; and a grandson, Rubin J. Gill.
