Enterprise school gets playground equipment

The Enterprise Attendance Center playground will get a new lookin coming weeks when the recreational equipment is replaced.
Carolyn Welch, secretary of the Enterprise Parent-TeacherAssociation, said $18,000 in playground equipment will be replaced.The PTA has hired a company that specializes in such work to do theactual replacement.
The new equipment includes three slides, a set of monkey bars,eight swings and two fun ball slides, Welch said. The equipmentwill be decorated in the school’s colors.
“Our plans are to just build from that,” she said.
District One Lincoln County School Board member Kay Coon saidMonday at a regular meeting of the board that she was proud to beable to accept the donation.
“It looks really nice. I’m sure the kids will appreciate it,”she said.
The PTA is currently organizing a series of future fund-raisersfor the second phase of their playground project, which wouldinclude other equipment, Welch said.
The old playground equipment will be donated for use at areachurches and civic organizations.
