Test drives land 3 men behind bars

Two men have been arrested and a third is awaiting a return toBrookhaven to face attempted grand larceny charges stemming fromincidents at two automobile dealerships last week, Police Chief PapHenderson said.
Allden Joseph Jones, 34, and Marvin Walter Hudson, 26, both ofNew Orleans, were arrested Friday after being picked up in CrystalSprings. A third man, who also will face charges in Broohkaven, isstill in jail in Crystal Springs, Henderson said.
Jones was charged with attempted grand larceny, and Hudson wascharged with conspiracy to commit grand larceny. Both have beenreleased on bond.
Henderson said the men came to Brookhaven last Wednesday andtest drove vehicles at two automobile dealerships on Highway 51.When returning a vehicle, the men allegedly switched keys with theintention of coming back later to steal the vehicles.
“The key they were given, they kept and returned another key,”Henderson said.
Henderson said the men were apprehended in Crystal Springs whena salesman there became suspicious. The chief said the salesmantested the returned key and it did not fit.
