Services for James Earl Rutland, of Sontag, were 11 a.m.Tuesday, Aug. 16 at Community Funeral Services Chapel with burialin New Hope Baptist Church in Lawrence County.

Mr. Rutland, 52, died Aug. 12, 2005, at the Lawrence CountyNursing Home. He was born on April 23, 1953, to Ernest T. Rutlandand Mandy King Rutland.

He was disabled.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a daughter; threebrothers; and a sister.

Survivors are his wife, Jackie Rutland, of Sontag; his daughter,Darla Rutland, of Brookhaven; his sons, Travis Rutland, of Sontag,and Wesley Rutland, of Ruth; his mother-in-law, Eunice Herrington,of Monticello; his sisters, Jeanette Fuller, of Brookhaven,Ernestine Boyd, of Cleveland, Tenn., Brenda Sue Lockwood, ofCleveland, Tenn., and Mabel Jadoon, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; hisbrothers, Roy L. Rutland, of Jackson, Donald Earl Rutland, ofCleveland, Tenn., Glen Ray Rutland, of Brookhaven, Benny DeanRutland, of Monticello, and David Earl Rutland, of Cleveland,Tenn.; and two grandchildren.
