MHP still probing deadly hit-and-run

Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop M officers are encouraging thepublic to come forward with any information about a hit-and-runaccident on Highway 550 last Tuesday night that killed a20-year-old Brookhaven man.
“We’re looking for any information at all. As insignificant asthey may think it is, it may be something we can use to lead us toother information,” said Staff Sgt. Rod Crawford, public affairsofficer for Troop M. “Right now we have no leads.”
David Eugene Dunnaway, of 405 Highway 550, the son of Danny andLinda Dunnaway, was struck in front of his home sometime before9:10 p.m., when troopers were notified of the accident, Crawfordsaid.
The trooper said Dunnaway could have been struck “one minutebefore that or five minutes before.”
“We have no information on the automobile or automobiles at thistime,” he said.
