Officials at First Baptist Church, one of several American RedCross shelters, said the facility is in need of food, mattresses,blankets and other supplies.

“We’re desperate for food here,” said Angie Warren,volunteer.

Also, there will be a drop off Saturday at 10 a.m. at FirstUnited Methodist Church for supplies to be taken to shelters. Itemssought include children’s books, children’s clothes and othersupplies.
