Services for Charles H. “Chuck” Prichard of Meadville are 2 p.m.Friday at Meadville Presbyterian Church with burial in MidwayCemetery in Meadville. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.
Mr. Prichard, 89, died Sept. 20, 2005, at his residence. He wasborn on Jan. 23, 1916, in Franklin County to the late RobertPrichard and Ludie King Prichard.
He was a retired farmer. After marrying, he returned toMeadville where he bought land to farm and raise cattle. He ownedthe Chevrolet dealership from 1955 to 1965 before deciding to farmfull-time, raising dairy cows, appaloosa horses, cotton, soybeansand corn. He was a lifelong member of Meadville PresbyterianChurch, where he served as deacon and treasurer. He was an activeleader and supporter of the local community.
Preceding him in death was his wife of 60 years, Doris MitchellPrichard.
Survivors are his daughters and sons-in-law, Tanya PrichardGroves and husband Floyd of Lakeland, Tenn., and Janna PrichardWhitehead and husband John of Destin, Fla.; grandchildren, JannaGroves Vaughan and husband Greg of Bolivar, Tenn., Heather GrovesMcCaskill and husband Greg of Cordova, Tenn., Keri WhiteheadFredericks and husband Andrew of Tallahassee, Fla., and StacyeWhitehead of Destin, Fla.; and great-grandchildren, Shannon, Jacoband Joshua Vaughan and Ian, Mitchell and Alec McCaskill.
