Services for Margaret Bateaste of Crosby are noon Tuesday at St.Matthews Baptist Church with burial in the Bateaste familycemetery. Marshall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is today from 7-9 p.m. at the church.
Mrs. Bateaste, 78, died Sept. 30, 2005, in Baton Rouge, La. Shewas born in Franklin County on April 11, 1927, to the lateCornelius and Mary Gibson.
She was a member of the Sweet Home Baptist Churchmotherboard.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, ClaudeBateaste; a daughter, Claudie Bateaste Jones; and a brother, BobGibson.
Survivors are her three daughters, Betty B. Parker of Terry,Catherine B. Murphy of Gloster and Lynn B. Mitchell of Mobile,Ala.; her sons, James Bateaste of Beaumont, Texas, Lester Bateasteof Biloxi, Dwight Bateaste and Nick Bateaste, both of D’Iberville;her sisters, Florence Lee, Edith Johnson and Eskerlena White, allof Biloxi, and Doris Amos of Middletown, Ohio; her brothers,Glennis Gibson of Biloxi and Albert Gibson of Oltewah, Tenn.; and ahost of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
