Dear editor,

I have always been very proud to represent the people ofDistrict 92 in the Mississippi Legislature; however, never have Ifelt the pride that I now feel.

Our citizens from all walks of life have been so very responsiveto the needs of those “hurting” from the recent hurricanes. Thechurches who opened their doors giving both places to sleep andfeeding the hungry are to be commended, as well as the manyvolunteers who have filled the various needs.

I have visited the Gulf Coast, as well as parts of Louisiana andrealize there is much to be done over a long period of time. I knowwe will continue to help those in need.

Not only did I see our people helping strangers but also helpingthe many people in our own area who suffered damages.
