Elsie Newton Bowman

Services for Elsie Newton Bowman of Brookhaven were 11 a.m.today at Community Funeral Services with burial in Mt. MoriahBaptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Bowman, 85, died Oct. 3, 2005, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born in Brookhaven on July 8, 1920, to the lateElias Bowman and Roby Algood Newton.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, HermanBowman; two sons, three brothers and a grandchild.

Survivors are her sons, Kenneth E. Bowman of Brookhaven andRichard I. Bowman of Zachary, La.; her daughter, Katrina Jackson ofBrookhaven; her brothers, Sherman Newton and Roscoe Newton, both ofBrookhaven; her sisters, Nora Bell West, Ella Sandidge and KathleenDriskil, all of Brookhaven; 10 grandchildren; 13great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Evelyn Beatrice Foster

Graveside services for Evelyn Beatrice Foster of Houston are 11a.m. Friday at Houston National Cemetery. Aldine Funeral Chapel ofHouston is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is today from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Foster, 77, died Sept. 28, 2005. She was born inBrookhaven.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Charles Lee Foster, anda sister, Vivian Richardson.

Survivors are her sons, Joe Foster Sr. and Larry Foster Sr.; hergrandchildren, Suzanne, Larry, Brenda, Tanya, Sam, Jeff, Jenniferand Joe Jr.; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces andnephews.

Jimmy M. Hull

Graveside services for Jimmy M. Hull of Brookhaven are 11 a.m.Friday at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with burial in the churchcemetery in Norfield. Catchings Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is today from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home inMcComb.

Mr. Hull, 62, died Oct. 6, 2005, at St. Helena Parish NursingHome in Greensburg, La. He was born in St. Francisville, La., onJan. 21, 1943, to the late Humbert Hull and Azalee Rainey Hull.

He was a retried office equipment repairman.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Rhoda HodgesHull; and a brother, Ray Severio.

Survivors are his stepchildren, Ricky Durr, Jessie Mutz, JanetZarak, Tammy Rene Coghlan, Shelia Jean Gore and Robbie Ann Durr; abrother, Willie Severio of Tangipahoa, La.; his sisters, AudreyWilliams of Kentwood, La., and Virginia Birch of Amite, La.; andnumerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
