Services for Burnett Thompson, of Bogue Chitto, are 2 p.m.Saturday, Nov. 5 at Good Hope Free Will Missionary Baptist Churchin Liberty with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from 1 to 7 p.m., with family hour from 6to 7 p.m. at Williams Mortuary.

Mr. Thompson, 75, died Oct. 31, 2005, in Jackson. She was bornon April 6, 1930, to Kavaugh Thompson and Laura Thompson.

He was a construction contractor for over 40 years. He was aveteran of the Army and a member of Good Hope Free Will M.B.Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, HattieThompson; and his brother, Edward Lenard Thompson.

Survivors are his sons, Burnett Thompson Jr. and his wife,Janet, of Missouri City, Texas, Edward Thompson Sr. and his wife,Yvette, of of Missouri City, and Fred Thompson and his wife, Gwen,and Eddie Cook and his wife, Linda, all of Bogue Chitto; hisdaughters, Bobbie A. Nelson, of Harvey, Ill., Debra Williams andher husband, Jeffery, Sadie Evans and her husband, Johnnie, andDoris Wiggins, all of Chicago, Felicia Powers and her husband,Randy, and Valarie Chatman and her husband, Victor, all of Jackson;three brothers; six sisters; 20 grandchildren; and 23great-grandchildren.
