Services for James A. Barker Jr., of Hazlehurst, are 11 a.m.Tuesday, Nov. 22 at Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst withburial in the Gallman Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Barker, 77, died Nov. 19, 2005, at the University ofMississippi Medical Center in Jackson.

He was a native of Hazlehurst and was a longtime member ofGallman Baptist Church. He worked as a surveyor with the state aiddepartment since 1952.

Survivors are his wife, Dorothy; his sons, Pat Barker, ofHazlehurst, Jimmy Barker, of Wesson, and Jack McMillan, of Madison;his daughter, Renee Myers, of Terry; his sister, Frances Channell,of Hazlehurst; and nine grandchildren, Christopher, Christina,Nickolas, Jessica, Katie, Rebecca, Raynn, Clair and Peyton.
