Services for Marie Hall DeLaughter, of Bude, are 10 a.m.Thursday, Dec. 15 at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Meadville withburial in Midway Cemetery in Meadville.
Visitation is today from 5 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 8 to 10a.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. DeLaughter, 79, died Dec. 13, 2005, at Franklin CountyMemorial Hospital in Meadville. She was born in Franklin County onApril 20, 1926, to Lucas Hall and Gertrude Hall.
She was a retired beautician. She was a member of First BaptistChurch in Bude.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; fourbrothers; and one sister.
Survivors are her son, Lynn DeLaughter, of Pearl; her twobrothers, Ray Hall, of Smithdale, and Clifton Hall, of Colfax, La.;her sister, Bobbie Dean Prather, of Colfax; two grandchildren; andone great-grandchild.
Avon M. French
Graveside services for Avon M. French, of Eightmile, Ala., are 3p.m. today, Dec. 14 at Greenlawn Cemetery in Natchez. BrookhavenFuneral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. French, 76, died Dec. 12, 2005, in Saraland, Ala. She wasborn in Carson on Feb. 10, 1929, to Avon McCrimmon and LougeniaGamble McCrimmon Loftin.
She was retired from Ketchings Printing Co. in Natchez. Sheattended LaFitte Baptist Church in Saraland. She was a member ofthe Order of the Eastern Star.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband, JohnDuncan French.
Survivors are her sister, Shirley Sutter, of Pascagoula; and herbrother, Cyril Loftin, of Mobile.
Binard Montgomery
Services for Binard Montgomery, of Natchez, are 2 p.m. Thursday,Dec. 15 at Brookhaven Funeral Home with burial in Concord BaptistChurch Cemetery in Franklin County.
Visitation is today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Montgomery, 93, died Dec. 14, 2005, at Adams County NursingHome. He was born in Franklin County on Nov. 3, 1912, to EffieMontgomery and Lizzie Davis Montgomery.
He was retired from International Paper Co. He served in theArmy during World War II. He was stationed on an aircraft carrierbased at Pearl Harbor. He was a member of Ramah Baptist Church inFranklin County.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his first wife, AllieLee Smith Montgomery; his brother, Jewell Montgomery; his sisters,Bootsie Lewis, Ava Kyzar, Nettie Mae Laird and Modis Lee.
Survivors are his wife, Cleo Montgomery, of Natchez; hisbrother, Dennis Montgomery, of Meadville; and his sister, ChristineSmith, of Brookhaven.
Sarena Burnham Weathersby
Services for Sarena Burnham Weathersby, of Brookhaven, are 11a.m. Friday, Dec. 16 at Lakewood Funeral Home in Jackson withburial in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Visitation is Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Weathersby, 89, died Dec. 10, 2005, at her residence. Shewas born in Merit on Sept. 5, 1916, to John R. “Bob” Burnham andMattie Bradshaw Burnham.
She graduated from Magee High School and married Joseph RobertWeathersby from Taylorsville. She was a superb homemaker, a lovingnurturing wife, mother and sister.
Preceding her in death were her devoted husband of 51 years; andher sisters, Edna McDonald and Letha Teasley.
Survivors are her sons and daughters-in-law, Joe B. and MaryWeathersby, of Little Rock, Ark., and Bob F. and MargaretWeathersby, of Brookhaven; her sister, Dr. Bobbe Christensen, ofSan Antonio, Texas; her grandchildren, Kim Murray, of Littleton,Colo., Kellie Smith, of Brookhaven, Kristi Stutzman, of Jackson,and Joe R. Weathersby, of Little Rock; her great-grandchildren,Connor and Morgan Smith, of Brookhaven, and Sean Patrick Murray, ofLittleton; and a host of nieces and nephews.
