Post One Lincoln County Justice Court Judge Judy Martin saidtoday she plans to retire at the end of her current term inoffice.

Martin is in her second term on the county court bench. Thejudge said she and her husband Robert hope to travel after sheleaves office.

“We’ve prayed about it and we’re comfortable with it,” Martinsaid of her decision.

Martin said she plans to continue working and hopes to have goodfinal two years in office.

“I’ve really enjoyed my work down there,” Martin said. “I’mgoing to continue to do the best job I can and be honest, straightand fair as I can with the law.”

The next round of county office elections is scheduled for2007.
