Minor A. Butler

Services for Minor A. Butler, of Brookhaven, were 11 a.m. today,Jan. 3 at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel.

Mr. Butler, 78, died Jan. 1, 2006, at Hospice Ministries inRidgeland. He was born on Sept. 29, 1927, to Minor A. Butler Sr.and Virginia E. Flournoy Butler.

He was a bookkeeper. He served in the Navy during World WarII.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and a sister, VirginiaHelen Butler.

Survivors are his son, Mike Butler and his wife, Jenny, ofBrandon; his daughter, Debbie Alexander and her husband, Tim, ofBrookhaven; and his grandchildren, Jason Butler, Allen Butler,Tyler Alexander and Shelby Alexander.

Memorials may be made to Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Family LifeCenter or Park Place Baptist Church Building Fund in Pearl.

Lee May Crump

Services for Lee May Crump, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m. Thursday,Jan. 5 at Crump Chapel United Methodist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday from 1 to 6 p.m. at WilliamsMortuary.

Mr. Crump, 82, died Dec. 31, 2005, at Countrybrook LivingCenter. He was born in Lincoln County on Dec. 14, 1923, to WilliamCrump and Bertha Crump.

He was disabled. He was a member of Crump Chapel UnitedMethodist Church. He was an Army veteran.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two sisters, LucindaCrump and Luvennia Crump; and two brothers, Frank Crump and C.C.Crump.

Survivors are his daughters, Dessie Gray and Lynda Williams,both of Brookhaven; his brothers, K.C. Crump, of Tampa, Fla.; hissisters, Bessie Taylor, of Brookhaven; three grandchildren; threegreat-grandchildren; one niece; and a host of great-nieces,great-nephews, other relatives and friends.

Edna McKee Davis

Services for Edna McKee Davis, of Bogue Chitto, are 2 p.m.Wednesday, Jan. 4 at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel withburial in Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Wesson.

Visitation is today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Davis, 87, died Jan. 1, 2006, at Silver Cross Nursing Home.She was born on April 17, 1918, to Vernon McKee and Eula BurneyMcKee.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Mt. Moriah BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, GarlandDavis; two sisters, Eula Etta Horten, Marjorie Sue Walley; andthree brothers, Bill McKee, Curtis McKee and Johnny McKee.

Survivors are her daughters, Betty White, of Brookhaven, andDixie Hailey, of Bogue Chitto; her brothers, Alfred McKee, ofPearl, and Charles Wayne McKee, of Brookhaven; her sisters, RuthCrosby, Mary Ratcliff and Linda Lee, all of Bogue Chitto; and hergrandsons, David White, of Pascagoula, and Corey Hailey, of BogueChitto.

Paul Edward Guy Sr.

Services for Paul Edward Guy Sr., of Felder’s Campground inRuth, are 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4 at Union Primitive BaptistChurch in Ruth with burial in the church cemetery. Elder RandyMyers and Elder Luke Laird will officiate services.

Visitation is today from 5 to 9 p.m. at Jones Family FuneralServices in McComb and Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at thechurch.

Mr. Guy, 65, died Jan. 2, 2006, at his residence. He was born inPike County on Oct. 15, 1940, to Sidney and Ina Mae Guy.

He retired as a third district supervisor and from IllinoisCentral Railroad. He graduated from Carter’s Creek High School andattended Southwest Community College. He was a member of the SummitRotary Club, where he was a Paul Harris Fellow, and the McCombNational Guard. He was a long time member of Union PrimitiveBaptist Church. He was also president of the North Pike BandBoosters.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and three sisters,Shirley Deare, Willene Hyde and Ouida Billings.

Survivors are his wife, Shirley Thames Guy, of Felder’sCampground; his sons, Leland “Butch” Guy and his wife, Becky, ofSummit, and Paul Guy Jr. and his wife, Martha, and Sean Guy, all ofFelder’s Campground; his daughter, Nancy Guy Armstrong, ofGordonsville, Va.; his brother, William Guy and his wife, Janice,of McComb; his sisters, Charlene Young and Aline Dunaway; fivegrandchildren, Christopher Guy, Jerolyn and Jarrett Armstrong,Vince and Tanner Guy; and numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephewsand nieces, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Louis Guy, Clay Guy, Ken Guy, Zack Young,Mitchell Young, Taylor Young and Jason Easley.

Nita Faye Moak

Services for Nita Faye Moak, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Wednesday, Jan. 4 at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel withburial in Mt. Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Moak, 68, died Jan. 2, 2006, at the University ofMississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She was born on Jan. 21,1937, to Percy Allen and Lola Smith Allen.

She was a homemaker.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors are her daughter, Judy Gajan and her husband, Hokie,of Mandeville, La.; her brother, Robert Earl Allen and his wife,Ann, of Brookhaven; her grandchildren, Jennifer Mier and herhusband, Brandon, Kristin Sell and her husband, Gerald, Myra Gajanand Alexis Gajan, all of Mandeville; a great-grandchild, Emma Mier,of Mandeville; her long time companion, Wayne Spring, ofBrookhaven; and her special pet, Bozo.
